Shopping Center “La Favorita”
An area of 12,500 square meters, a ballasted roof system to be removed, a surface to be redesigned using next-generation materials, and the need to avoid any interference with the daily operations of a fully active shopping center. This was the context in which Isocaf S.R.L. carried out its intervention at La Favorita Shopping Center in Mantua, with a project launched in September 2025 and completed on schedule.
The first phase involved the complete removal of the existing ballasted system, carried out through an efficient mechanical suction process of the ballast. This solution allowed the surface to be cleared quickly, without the dispersion of dust or debris.
Once the substrate had been fully prepared, the new roofing build-up was installed: high-performance thermal insulation followed by the application of a white TPO membrane, certified Broof T2, selected to ensure maximum reliability in terms of waterproofing performance, fire resistance, and solar reflectance. This choice also met specific environmental requirements set by the client.
The scope of work extended beyond the waterproofing system itself. Essential complementary works were carried out to enhance the safety and functionality of the roof, including the installation of perimeter guardrails to ensure safe and continuous access, fall protection nets on every skylight to safeguard operators during future maintenance activities, and pedestrian walkways precisely laid out to create functional routes to all technical areas, including zones designated for future photovoltaic installations.
The project stood out for its execution quality, attention to construction details, and well-organized site management. A tailor-made intervention where technical expertise and operational planning were seamlessly integrated to meet deadlines, expectations, and high-quality standards.
